What to have ready when you call
The dispatcher will ask for the address and unit number, the type of door (house door, condo suite, storefront, car), and what has happened: locked out, key broken in the lock, lock damaged after a break-in, or a lock that has stopped working. If you can, tell us whether anyone or anything is inside. A photo of the lock and door sent by text helps the technician bring the right parts.
We also need to confirm that you are allowed to have the lock opened or changed. Photo ID with the same address, a lease, or a note from the landlord or property manager is usually enough. Our guide to why a locksmith asks for proof of authorization explains what is accepted.
Coming to the office
Walk-ins are welcome at 901 Yonge Street, Unit 105, near Yonge and Bloor, at any hour. The storefront is open 24/7, including for ordinary house-key copying. Bring your key for copying, or call to discuss a service visit.
Where we go
Our technicians travel across Toronto and the GTA. Arrival times depend on where the nearest available technician is, on traffic and on weather, so the dispatcher gives you a window when you call. The service areas page lists every city and neighbourhood we cover, and our services page lists the work we do, from lockouts and lock changes to rekeying, commercial doors and access control.
Quotes, payment and paperwork
You get the price range before we dispatch and the final total before work begins. Any change to the job is explained and agreed first. We are fully insured, and you receive an invoice that shows the work done and the hardware installed. The invoice checklist and emergency quote guide explain what to look for with any locksmith.
